Are Organics More Exciting Than the Royal Wedding?

Honestly, I do find organics infinitely more enthralling than weddings, even royal weddings - but I'll admit that I may be the only one ;)

Still, with all the royal wedding shenanigans going on, this is an excellent time for all organic advocates to take a moment to be thankful for Prince Charles - possibly one of the most well-known organic advocates in the world. Although people haven't always taken his organic goals seriously. In fact, the Prince revealed in one interview early this year, that when he first made the decision to go organic people questioned whether he was in his right mind or not.

Now we know that the Prince was way ahead of his time. Back in 2002 he wrote Highgrove, which discussed the benefits of environmentally savvy farming and gardening. Later he wrote The Elements of Organic Gardening.

Most recently he released Harmony: A New Way of Looking at Our World, a book in which the Prince of Wales shared his views on mankind's disharmony with nature and how that may be the reason for many of our ills. I haven't read The Elements of Organic Gardening, but I have read the other two and I think Harmony is a must read for anyone interested in sustainability. Seriously a MUST READ. Prince Charles is an excellent organic and eco-advocate.

With all the royal wedding news going on, has Prince Charles and his organic mindset been on your mind too? Have you read his books - and if so what did you think?
